Na primer, med idejo, izraženo v skici, in naročilom za stavbo se je zgodila scenografija dvorne maškarade, arhitekturne inscenacije in dekoracije za kraljevičev rojstni dan, poroka vojvodove hčerke, prihod papeža v mesto-državo; ti dogodki so bili uporabljeni kot priložnosti za uresničitev novega sloga, novo vrsto prostora, nov pomen dekoracije, ustvarjene morda samo za en dan …, minljivo je konzumirano z užitkom, ustvarja okus za trajno.
