“Vse
se je spremenilo. Ko sem odšla, se je že vse spremenilo. To je
edini kraj, ki je ostal enak in povezuje dva dela mojega življenja,”
mi reče, “Zagreb prej in Zagreb potem.” Med pojasnjevanjem me
pelje v svojo oazo, majhno kavarno, lesketajočo se od ogledal
in bleščečo od intimnosti. Utrip urbanega zagotavlja srečanja.
Ali obstaja boljši način, da spoznaš neko mesto, kot da ga gledaš
skozi oči drugih? Zagrebški UrbanFestival, ki ga organizira Lokalna
baza za osvežitev kulture (BLOK), mi je ponudil priložnost, da
doživim mesto skozi oči Zagrebčanov. To čudno sinonimijo, ki
se je razvila skozi stoletja, natančneje zvezo pomenov med metodo,
rutino, slogom in načinom, sem vzela zares in teden dni metodološko
hodila po Zagrebu.

“Everything
changed. In the time I was gone, it all changed. This is the only
place that is still the same. This place connects the two parts
of my life,” she says. “The Zagreb before and the Zagreb after.”
In explaining this, she takes me to her personal oasis, a small
cafe shining with mirrors and sparkling with intimacy. The pulse
of urbanity is that of guaranteed encounters.
What better opportunity could there be to get to know a city than
through the eyes of others? The Urban Festival in Zagreb, organized
by the BLOK, the Local Base for Culture Refreshment, afforded
me the opportunity to
experience the city through the eyes of Zagreb people. In taking
seriously a strange synonymy that has evolved over the course
of centuries, namely the alliance of meaning between method, routine,
manner and way, I methodologically walked Zagreb for a week.
