Osim projekta uređenja groblja za logoraše na otoku Rabu, koji je u posljednjih nekoliko godina bio predmetom većih studija, članaka, izložbi i predavanja, arhitekt Edvard Ravnikar je u toku svog života planirao i realizirao niz drugih projekata memorijalnih obilježja narodnooslobodilačke borbe te groblja za pale borce 2. svjetskog rata. Iako su to sve bila uglavnom manja arhitektonska djela, iz njih se može dokučiti Ravnikarov tadašnji odnos prema arhitekturi, koji je kumovao i pri nastajanju brojnih arhitektonskih objekata većih dimenzija.

Apart from designing the cemetery for concentration camp inmates on the island of Rab, which has been the topic of extensive studies, articles, exhibitions and lectures during the last several years, architect Edvard Ravnikar designed and realized during his life a number of other projects of memorial complexes dedicated to the People’s Liberation War and cemeteries for fighters who fell in the Second World War. Although all of these were mostly smaller scale architectural works, they imply Ravnikar’s relation to architecture at that time and the same relation was obvious when he was creating numerous architectural buildings of larger size.
