Na skromni hrvaški arhitekturni sceni, še posebej na področju stanovanj, se recentna produkcija izgublja na poti med ne zadosti profiliranimi in izobraženimi naročniki, nerazumevanjem in počasnostjo strokovnih služb, indolenco, hitenjem in neznanjem arhitektov samih ter pomanjkljivo in tehnično inferiorno izvedbo, ki jo spremljajo (pre)veliki kompromisi. V takem položaju je vsak odklon od “mainstreama” vreden pohvale, še posebej, če izraža ambicijo, da morfološko in tipološko prestopi meje že videnega.

Recent Croatian architectural production, particularly modest in the residential segment, has been drif­ting between vague and ignorant clients, slow and unresponsive institutions, indolent, hasty or incompetent architects, and finally, faulty and technically inferior construction with (too) many compromises made. With this kind of mainstream, any deviation is praiseworthy, particularly if it has the ambition to go beyond the usual morphology and typology.
