NEKAJ
PRIPOMB K LATINSKOAMERIŠKI KNJIŽEVNOSTI
Če začnemo kratek opis stanja latinskoameriške književnosti z
razmišljanji neke evropske pisateljice, Španke Belén Gopegui,
je to samo navidezno protislovje. Za Gopegui obstajata dve vrsti
književnosti: potrebna in verjetna. Potrebna se upira sprejemanju
veljavnih družbenih razmer. Vanjo sodijo avtorji in avtorice,
ki si lahko predstavljajo boljše, pravičnejše, svobodnejše odnose
in ta predstava določa njihovo gradivo in teme. S svojim pisanjem

A
FEW NOTES ON LATIN AMERICAN LITERATURE
To begin this short survey of the situation in Latin American
literature with the contemplations of a European writer, to be
more precise of Belén Gopegui from Spain, is contradictory only
ostensibly. Gopegui states that there are two kinds of literature:
necessary and probable. Necessary resists acceptance of the existing
social circumstances. Here, we find authors who can imagine better,
juster and freer relationships, and this assumption determines
their materials and themes. By writing, they are searching for
companions, contemporaries, but also those who perhaps preceded
them. They want to free themselves from the loneliness that suffocates
them, arrogantly silencing, and talks about futility of any action.
They pay respect to their heroes, and do not allow them to participate
in running after success.
