Koja je realna uloga odgojnih ustanova za djecu najmanje dobi? Koliko na djecu utječe okolina u kojoj odrastaju u dobi kad još ne znaju ni govoriti? Mnoga istraživanja ukazuju na važnost razvoja djeteta u najranijoj životnoj dobi, posebno u prve tri godine života. Psihološki razvoj osobe do treće godine života završen je 85%, dok su razvoj misaonih sposobnosti i sposobnost učenja 60% završeni do četvrte godine. Većinu sposobnosti, naročito spoznajnih, dijete razvija do svoje šeste godine. Upravo u tom razdoblju dijete najviše uči od svoje okoline.

What realistic role is assigned to educational institutions for the youngest children? To what extent do the surroundings in which children grow up influence them, at an age when they are still not able to talk? Numerous researches, point out the importance of child development at the earliest age, particularly the first three years of life. A person’s psychological development is 85% completed by the third year of life, while the development of intellectual capabilities and capability to learn is 60% completed by the fourth year of life. Most capabilities, especially cognitive ones, are developed by children by the sixth year of life. This is exactly the period when children learn most from their surroundings.
