O
gradnje u zemlji i izvan nje.
umjetnosti i znanosti u Kataru i drugi.
aktivnosti.

ABOUT
SCHOOL DESIGN - WHAT WE CAN DO TO SPACE
Starting with the project of Utase Elementary School in Chiba,
we have worked for the last ten years on more than ten projects
of educational institutions, including some that are currently
in the phase of design or construction, both in Japan and abroad.
These are, for example, Kibikogen Elementary School, Hakuou Secondary
School in Miyagi, Research Centre for Advanced Science and Technology
at University of Tokyo, Gunma International Academy, Liberal Arts
and Science College in Qatar and others. Each individual project
had to satisfy completely different conditions and each of them
required something different from us. However, we approached each
project with the same attitude: "to design activity and not
the building". The impression the school’s space leaves is
evaluated by the extent to which children who stay there are happy
and cheerful. If pupils are not happy and cheerful, then the space
leaves a very bad impression in spite of its grandiosity. Therefore,
we build spaces with the attitude that architecture has to be
something which will provide as much opportunity to motivate activities
as possible.
