POLITIČKA VOLJA I ARHITEKTONSKA MISAO

Predizborna odluka kojom je predviđena (na)dogradnja postojeće škole u Sesvetskoj Sopnici uzrokovala je mahnit niz događaja koji su doveli do realizacije projekta nove školske zgrade. Od odabira najboljeg rješenja na arhitektonsko-urbanističkom natječaju do ishođenja građevinske dozvole prošlo je tek nešto više od pola godine. Proces propitivanja istinitosti intelektualne tvorevine integralni je proces sazrijevanja, kako neke opće, tako i arhitektonske misli. Nužno potreban manevarski prostor između nastanka same ideje i njena konačnoga ostvarenja u "slučaju
Sopnica" sveden je na minimum. Zavidna zrelost projekta. kojom je Duplančić zaslužio pravo realizacije zgrade osnovne škole, ali i zadani vremenski raspored nisu ostavili mjesta sumnji
ili predumišljaju. Operirajući u takvom kontekstu, arhitekt je izravan, siguran, uporan i uvjerljivo dosljedan.

POLITICAL WILL AND ARCHITECTURAL THOUGHT

The pre-election decision to build an annex to the school in Sesvetska Sopnica caused a frenzy of events that led to the completion of the project of a new school building. Slightly more than six months passed from winning the architectural-zoning competition to obtaining a construction permit. The process of questioning the authenticity of an intellectual creation is integral to the maturing process of general as well as architectural
thought. The essential manoeuvre space, between creation of the idea itself and its final realization is reduced to a minimum in the Sopnica case. The enviable maturity of the project with which Duplančić earned his right to build the elementary school building, as well as the set time schedule, left no place for doubt or premeditation. Operating in such a context, the architect is direct, sure, persistent and convincingly
consistent.
